Growing up in the beautiful Southwest, I've owned turquoise jewelry for as long as I can remember. In fact, everyone I knew owned turquoise jewelry. But as with all fashion items, turquoise has had it's in fashion times, and it's out of fashions times.

But now, it's just incredible. It seems like every time I open another magazine, I find multiple pages of gorgeous fashion accessories - all with one thing in common: turquoise. Whether they're simply turquoise in color, or actually feature turquoise stones - 'tis the season of turquoise!

Michaels Kor's clutch in the upper left is gorgeous, priced at $1495.

And the lovely gold-plated necklace by Dior, sells for $1100.

The gold and turquoise hoops go for $2600. Yikes!

It seems all the designers agree: you can't go wrong with turquoise this season.

And I second that: turquoise is a classic - it's been around FOREVER. Yet, there is a freshness and lightness about turquoise that makes it fashion forward, breezy and delicious to wear!
